New Pro Football League Folds Weeks After Launch

New Pro Football League Folds Weeks After Launch

Calls to season ticket lines and links on the team's website went unanswered and returned no results Tuesday.

Despite adding legendary coaches and notable players like Johnny Manziel to its roster, it sounds like the AAF won't make it to a second season.

Darren Rovell says that Dundon's plan was to make the AAF a minor league feeder system for the NFL immediately while Ebersol and Polian planned to develop the league for three years before it becoming a feeder system.

While the NFLPA did not have an official response to the lack of cooperation accusation, a players' union official told the publication that there are risks when it comes to lending active National Football League players to the AAF.

Albert Breer, an NFL reporter for The Monday Morning Quarterback, tweeted that the Chairman of the AAF "bought a majority stake in the league simply for the gambling app being developed". "The information arrives so fast, in fact, that the league and its partners said it could eventually allow in-game betting on play outcomes - like pass or run - and a host of other propositions".

Guardiola: Pressure will get best out of City
The win means City go one point above Liverpool , who host Tottenham tomorrow afternoon. But the way we started was wonderful and my players surprised me again.

Manziel has appeared in two games for the league's Memphis franchise after he was released from his contract with Montreal of the Canadian Football League last month. It is also unclear whether or not the business end of the league will remain in production.

The news of the league suspending operations is doubly disappointing to the Apollos, who had a league-best 7-1 record and were the clear-cut favorite to win the championship.

10News has reached out to the league and Fleet for more information.

"I think what we're building on the tech side will change sports", Ebersol said in January.
