National Football League turns on Antonio Brown after petty tweet: 'Smash this dude'

The rivalry between Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster doesn't appear to be losing steam.

Brown quoted the fan's tweet and picture with criticisms of Smith-Schuster for his costly fumble against the Saints late in the season a year ago.

But Smith-Schuster got his first taste of it on Sunday and was taken aback by a player in Brown who he said "all I ever did was show that man love". In his response, AB referenced Smith-Schuster's fumble against the New Orleans Saints in Week 16, which hindered Pittsburgh's chances of making the playoffs. "I was genuinely happy for him too when he got traded to Oakland [with] a big contract, and now he takes shots at me on social media?"

Even with consistent double-coverages over the year, Brown racked up receptions, yards, and touchdowns at a staggering rate while he was with the Steelers.

While the 30-year-old undoubtedly was still the guy with the Steelers, the emergence of Smith-Schuster made it easier for Pittsburgh to stomach shipping the wide receiver out of town. He also replied to a handful of other posts, coming to the defense of Smith-Schuster. Roethlisberger may have contributed to some of the tension by saying after a November loss to the Denver Broncos that the Steelers erred in drawing up a late, goal-line pass play for Brown and instead "should've went to [Smith-Schuster] four straight plays".

Smith-Schuster was quick to fire back, referencing Brown's original tweet.

Then the USC product addressed Brown directly.

Reid's remarks drew respect from Steelers fans.
