Joker Trailer: Joaquin Phoenix As Joker Will Leave You Asking For More

As Fleck witnesses the world around him becoming more sinister than ever, he begins to take a sadistic turn of his own, ultiatmely transforming into the infamous Batman villain.

The upcoming Joker movie is set in 1981 and shows Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who takes care of his ailing mother.

Footage from the film debuted during Warner Bros.' presentation at CinemaCon on Wednesday evening. Arthur is an outcast living in a '70s, New York City inspired Gotham, mocked by others, with only his mother for company.

The movie features an all-star cast, including Zazie Beetz, who appears to play the Joker's love interest, and Robert De Niro.

The trailer for Joker has finally dropped - and it looks seriously dark.

Warner Bros greenlit this project in 2018 but only after Joaquin came on board.

Calls to season ticket lines and links on the team's website went unanswered and returned no results Tuesday. It is also unclear whether or not the business end of the league will remain in production.

Moreover, the epic dialogue "put on a happy face" is enough to remind the audiences of the creepiness related to the character of Joker.

The first trailer of the much awaited movie Joker is already out and is all set to bring back the horror of the famous Batman villain.

The teaser trailer of Joker got over 4 lakh likes on YouTube within an hour.

Find out exactly how Joker got those scars - or at least how he cracked in the '80s and went full-psychopath - when Joker hits United Kingdom cinemas on 4 October. "My mother always tells me to smile and put on a happy face - she told me I had a objective to bring laughter and joy to the world", he says over a montage of him dressed as a clown promoting a store when a group of thugs steal his sign and beat him up.

Phoenix had fairly sizeable shoes to fill as the Joker, given the acclaim that greeted Heath Ledger's stunning performance as the character in Nolan's The Dark Knight.
