Trump to athletes: Welcome to the White House, have some junk food

On Monday Trump served up Chick-fil-A and McDonald's to, ironically, the North Dakota State University football team, known as the Bison, as The Hill reported.

This time, he made a decision to have a different chain of fast food restaurants.

Trump said he could have offered the players food prepared by a chef, but, "I know you people".

Praising the player, Trump said he had "the look" of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who has a well-documented friendship with the president.

"We like American companies, OK?"

'When you play with passion and love. and relentlessly reach for excellence, nothing is impossible, ' Trump told the team.

The Bison visit is reminiscent of when Trump hosted the Clemson Tigers in January following that team's NCAA Division One National Championship win.

Another college football team is visiting the White House today.

Trump, after shaking hands with some players, cracked that he was briefed on the proper pronunciation of the North Dakota State "Bison".

The players laughed with the president while eyeing stacks of Big Macs and Chick-fil-A sandwiches sitting atop silver platters on a long table in the center of the room.

They're the latest championship team to visit Trump at the White House for a fast-food chow-down.

The North Dakota Bison Football team are seven-time NCAA Football Championship Subdivision winners.

"Somebody better draft him, he's going to be a rich guy", Trump added. They were probably happy to get to eat a little earlier than expected.

"We addressed [politics]", Coach Matt Entz told the Grand Forks Herald.

The two of them fought for the win, with Logano holding off his teammate in the final laps. "I expected to have good moments. Except for the stage breaks there were no cautions during the race. "I knew to keep fighting and keep working", Busch said.
