Trump heats up feud with top aide Kellyanne Conway's husband

"No one was prouder than I was that she was able to elect this man president despite his obvious flaws", he said of his wife, insisting that he is not jealous. "POTUS doesn't even know him!"

I had been convinced that there was no odder couple than my parents, who've always been separated and whose personalities and livelihoods could not be more divergent, until conservative lawyer turned chronic President Trump critic George Conway began to gain popularity for his fervent and relentless Trump takedowns, on social media and in op-eds, despite the fact that he is married to Kellyanne Conway, one of Trump's closest aides.

In his series of tweets, George shared excerpts from a book, "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders", as he suggested Trump has a narcissistic personality disorder, as well as an antisocial personality disorder.

Within minutes of Trump's comment, George Conway replied, "Congratulations!"

Kellyanne Conway, asked about her husband's tweets on Monday morning, said she had been busy getting her children ready for school and wasn't paying close attention. John McCain, "Saturday Night Live", "the fake news media", Robert Mueller, Joe Biden, and offered a strong defense for Fox News' Jeanine Pirro, whose show was pulled off air after she made despicable Islamaphobic comments about Rep. Ilham Omar.

Emails were sought by Mr Mueller's office, which is probing Russia's role in the 2016 USA presidential election, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

George Conway, who withdrew from consideration for a Justice Department job in June 2017, trolled Trump after the president tweeted or retweeted more than 50 times over the weekend.

"It's so maddening to watch", said Conway, a longtime Washington attorney who is well-known in conservative circles. The U.S. leader has once again lashed out at George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway.

"He said to me, I remember it clearly, you were smart not to work for that guy", Conway said.

A month later, Trump allegedly told Conway he was smart not to take the job because he would have worked under Jeff Sessions, the attorney general at the time who was sacked last November. But George Conway told The Washington Post that he had had a number of conversations with Trump over the past decade.

Trump so far has been more restrained in his criticism. "That's basically it. Frankly, it's so I don't end up screaming at her about it".
