Linda Sarsour Attacks ‘White Feminist’ Nancy Pelosi Over Resolution Condemning Anti-Semitism

Democratic Rep. Eliot L. Engel, who heads the prestigious House Foreign Affairs Committee of which Omar is a member, said the Muslim congresswoman's words at town hall last week invoked a "vile anti-Semitic slur" suggesting it is a representation of disloyalty for U.S. citizens to support a foreign country like Israel.

After an effort led by Gottheimer and others signed a letter to House Democratic leaders, who responded by issuing a statement saying, "Congresswoman Omar's use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel's supporters is deeply offensive" and called on her to apologize.

"Ilhan-Omar-crosses-line-again">A string of allegedly anti-Semitic public comments from freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar has enraged fellow Democrats and forced Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other top House leaders to take fresh action against one of the early stars of the freshman class. Its text was not final as of Monday afternoon. The resolution, which details the history and recent rise of anti-Semitism in the United States, does not name Omar specifically.

After those comments, Republicans forced the House to vote on language condemning anti-Semitism, using a motion to recommit to add it to a resolution removing US armed forces assisting the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen. "I am sure we agree on that!", she told Ms. Lowey as if Ms. Lowey's support for Israel was not in the interests of the 17th Congressional District of NY.

While Omar has seen members of her own party turn on her amid the recent controversies, Republicans have been even more critical of her, with many calling on Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to kick her off of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

The Anti-Defamation League, a non-profit that tracks and exposes anti-Semitism, wrote a letter to Pelosi on Monday requesting a House resolution to reject what the organization called Omar's "latest slur".

We also highly recommend Hepatitis B and meningitis vaccines; however, you can sign a waiver for either of these two vaccines. Nancy Messonnier believe a spread of misinformation among those pockets of people against vaccinating is the culprit.

President Donald Trump says Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar's newest remarks about Israel mark a "dark day" for the Jewish state. To the left of Omar is Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida. On Tuesday, Ocasio-Cortez said Omar "has demonstrated a willingness to listen+work w/impacted communities" and thus should not be subject to a "calling out" from fellow Democrats in the House. But Engel's statement on Friday mentioned his panel and conduct becoming a member of the House.

'I should not be expected to have allegiance/pledge support to a foreign country in order to serve my country...' And not just because she's Muslim: The congresswoman from Minnesota has criticized the influence Saudi Arabia has on U.S. politics as well, without the commensurate controversy. "No member of Congress is asked to swear allegiance to another country", she said.

"Accusing Jews of having allegiance to a foreign government has always been a vile anti-Semitic slur that has been used to harass, marginalize, and persecute the Jewish people for centuries", Greenblatt wrote.

What about the Democratic Party leaders?

Rep. Ilhan Omar told a Jewish congresswoman Sunday that their constituents didn't elect either woman to have allegiance to a foreign country.

That charge was anti-Semitic, because it was used to allege that every Jew was suspect, no matter what they thought about Israel, and that they could not be fully American because they were assumed to have too much affection for another country.
