Joey Logano wins at Las Vegas Sunday

Keselowski followed his Atlanta win with a runner-up showing in Las Vegas.

Logano, who started 10th took the lead of the 267-lap race from Stewart-Haas's Kevin Harvick midway through the final stage and resisted Atlanta victor Keselowski's advances on the final lap to record the 22nd Cup victory of his career by 0.236 seconds.

"That was more intense than I wanted it to be", Logano said.

Busch still pulled off yet another victory in the second-tier series, and he'll have the chance for a third straight win Sunday.

"I thought this would be the toughest of the three", Busch said.

Harvick predicted that the fastest vehicle wouldn't win the pole when drivers were allowed to draft off each other in qualifying, and he was correct. I wasn't sure how we were going to do it, being short a set of tires.

But after narrowly answering Keselowski's last-lap passing attempt, Logano celebrated his victory in NASCAR's first race under its full new rules package created to foster tight racing and excitement. "I knew we had a fast race vehicle, but man we could just never get the balance. My heart is still running". He's the only driver in NASCAR history to accomplish the fete.

Except for the stage breaks there were no cautions during the race.

"I knew to keep fighting and keep working", Busch said.

American companies worry US-Chinese ties will worsen
President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will delay imposing further trade tariffs on Chinese goods. The two nations met for a seventh round of talks last week, the third in a month, to try to make headway.

Keselowski drove up from 19th to take the lead with 27 laps left, but his hopes for back-to-back victories were dashed when Logano passed him while getting held up by lapped traffic. During one pit stop, the team made one adjustment that made the auto really tight in practice. "It seemed like it came down to what the lapped cars were going to do".

"Yeah, because the cars don't have any speed..." So you're always trying to figure out which way to go.

Although 2019 has started off with two top-five finishes in three races, Busch understands there work still needs to be done. In the meantime, William Byron stayed out on an alternate pit strategy to take the top spot. Busch had won the Gander Outdoors Truck Series race on Friday and the Xfinity Series race on Saturday.

Harvick, who reached 180.517 miles per hour, is the defending champion in the early season race at Las Vegas. Leading 23 laps at the start of the final stage as a result, Busch was able to match the field in making just one more stop to reach the finish.

"So whatever. The M&M's Camry was good, and the driver threw it away". The two of them fought for the win, with Logano holding off his teammate in the final laps.

"I expected to have good moments. But it gave us a lot to learn from today and I'm really proud of everybody to get a top five". I've seen it all over the years with teammates racing each other.

Logano moved into the overall series points lead, jumping two points ahead of Kevin Harvick.

Martin Truex Jr., who won at Vegas in September, was third with Brad Keselowski in fourth. That's last among the four drivers from Hendrick Motorsports, which isn't off to a dynamite start to the season.
