Jets to sign former Vikings Pro Bowl LB Anthony Barr

Jets to sign former Vikings Pro Bowl LB Anthony Barr

Barr, 26, was the first draft pick of coach Mike Zimmer's tenure, taken ninth overall in 2014.

Barr's fate had been a hot topic among the Vikings' past two offseasons as the team tried to extend all of their young players while also making a major financial commitment to new quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Meanwhile, despite losing out on Barr, the Jets did reach a five-year, $85 million agreement with linebacker C.J. Mosley, who spent the last five years with the Ravens.

Per Albert Breer, the Vikigns sweetened their offer for Barr on Monday night. Barr will form a revamped and highly paid linebacker corps in NY alongside former Baltimore middle linebacker C.J.

This announcement follows similar retailer financial woes, including Victoria's Secret , Payless ShoeSource and Gymboree . Last month, the retailer said it would close the 94 stores and find a buyer that would keep the stores open.

Barr has made four straight Pro Bowl appearances after missing out on the honor during his rookie campaign.

Barr can re-sign at any point with the Vikings, but they apparently first must resolve the situation with Griffen. Schefter says Richardson intends to sign a three-year deal with the Cleveland Browns. He played in 13 games in 2018, recording 55 tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble.

Murray had a salary-cap number last season of $5.2 million after agreeing to restructure his contract.

The four-time linebacker is going to get paid. The importance of re-signing Barr for Minnesota can't go underemphasized. The Vikings talked with Murphy again at the combine, though the agent informed the Vikings that Barr wanted to test out his market in the NFL's negotiating window that opened on Monday.
