Google's Gmail, Drive, YouTube and some other services suffer global outage

Gmail has more than one billion active users globally.

Gmail users have also taken to social media to complain about problems sending emails. "The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior". "Check your network and try again", is the message that these users said comes while sending email.

Google announced a service disruption today, March 13, as it investigates issues with its services Gmail and Google Drive.

Following that, they have addressed the matter via their Google Suite Status Dashboard, stating that their users aren't able to access Gmail and Google Drive.

As for Google Drive, while users could open Drive, downloading and uploading files has been an issue since a few hours now.

On Twitter, many voiced their frustration at being unable to check and send emails.

The cloud platform had been hit by a litany of issues over the past few days, including an outage affecting Google Cloud Console yesterday.

"Users will have issues accessing or attaching files in various products". According to the site DownDetector, the majority affected customers are experiencing log-in errors while others are having problems with attachments and receiving messages.

"We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible", the Facebook said in a Tweet.
