Champions League: Gareth Bale's agent blasts Real Madrid fans

Champions League: Gareth Bale's agent blasts Real Madrid fans

It seems that the 29-year-old is destined for a new challenge next season, while a Real Madrid side in transition search for their new savior. For a long time, Ronaldo was said to be holding down the goal contributions of his peers, however, the numbers of this season do not hold up to this theory.

Ajax have pulled off a famous Champions League victory against Real Madrid by knocking the three-time defending champions out of the competition at the round of 16 stage courtesy of a 4-1 thumping at the Bernabeu.

Real, who lost 3-0 to Barcelona on Wednesday to suffer Copa del Rey elimination, are third in La Liga, 12 points behind their arch-rivals who lead the standings.

Ajax was playing in the last 16 for the first time since 2006.

Real Madrid, which had won the last three Champions League titles and four of the last five, missed out on its ninth consecutive quarterfinal appearance.

Eleven minutes later Tadic played provider again, this time with considerable flair, putting Real Madrid defensive midfielder Casemiro through the spin cycle before rolling a pass to the near post for David Neres to slot home. The Welshman has, predictably, been plighted by injuries and inconsistency which have seen him end up firmly on the Bernabeu's bad side, as demonstrated by the mixed reception he received when he came on as a sub during Tuesday's match.

Tadic, who joined Ajax from Southampton past year, put in a fantastic performance at the Bernabeu to help his side reach the quarter finals of Europe's elite competition.

He mentioned that he hadn't spoken to them after traveling to Nou Camp to sign on the dotted line, but that that the topic of Real Madrid did come up when he was there. Julen Lopetegui, the "system" manager chosen to replace the more orthodox Zidane, had a poor start to the season and was sacked after 14 games.

"When I returned to Chelsea in 2013 I felt one of the best feelings I have ever experienced in football".

This is the end of a cycle that, probably, should have ended a year ago but was extended thanks to the unique combination of talent and experience, spit and gravel.

Solari is not the only whose position at Real Madrid appears precarious. As defender Dani Carvajal said after the match, Real's "s-- season" was over.

The conflict worsened on Tuesday when India launched an air strike on what it said was a militant training base. And I would like to put this on record that I will not change my statement if I go back to my country also.
