Apple says ‘it’s show time’ March 25

With the company's big March 25 event looming on the horizon, a new rumor claims Apple is planning to release not one but two iPads with a 10-inch screen this year that won't fall under the "iPad Pro" brand.

This year, Apple could only concentrate on the new news and video streaming services instead of hardware, so we don't think there will be a hardware announcement at this time.

The company has not given any details on the products that would be launched during the event. As Engadget reports, the invite hints at the possibility of Apple announcing its video service.

The TV service is expected to launch globally, an ambitious move to rival services from Netflix and Amazon.com's Prime Video.

Rumour has it that the service will combine original content and existing third-party subscription services. Further, neither of the popular media services likely feel that they need Apple to attract or retain subscribers.

Apple is also in discussions with HBO, part of AT&T Inc-owned WarnerMedia, to become part of the service and it could yet make it in time for the launch, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Rumors suggest that Apple will pitch its video and magazine services as separate entities with separate prices, but it could offer a bundle that offers, say, both services and an Apple Music sub at a cheaper price.

"I don't look at that as saying Apple has given up on the (Apple smart speaker) HomePod or the Apple TV - those will be the products where Apple Music or an Apple movie experience work the best", Bajarin said.
