Sala died due to head and trunk injuries, coroner confirms

"The families of Mr. Sala and the pilot David Ibbotson have been updated with this news and will continue to be supported by specially-trained family liaison officers".

Sala was on his way to join Cardiff City from Nantes when the plane crashed 21 miles (34km) off the coast of Guernsey on January 21.

Home Office Forensic Pathologist Basil Purdue carried out a post-mortem examination which confirmed the cause of death as injuries to Sala's head and body.

Launching the new page on Go Fund Me, Mr Ibbotson's family appealed for help to "bring [him] home and help give him the send off he deserves".

Mr Ibbotson's daughter Danielle told ITV's Good Morning Britain she repeatedly rang his mobile phone when told by police the aircraft was missing. Obviously we do know he's gone but we want him back.

"We can not bare the thought of him being alone".

"If you've got hope then you shouldn't give up", she said.

The border debate got most of the attention, but it's just part of a major spending measure to fund a bevy of Cabinet departments. He has said he is considering running in the 2020 presidential election and will make his decision by the end of the month.

Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe donated the money to the family's fundraising page, aiming to restart the search for the pilot's body.

"He was unbelievable, I was so lucky to have him as a dad".

"But the one body has been brought to the surface, and now clearly there'll be a funeral, and you want the same privilege if it's possible, and you've been told that that process if successful would cost about £300,000, and I've just been told that your find has reached 140 after just a few days, so you're nearly half way there".

In the same interview Dalman added: "We must show respect to the family. It has been hard but we have stuck together and our gaffer said after the game, "This one was for Sala".

After only four days authorities called off the search for the missing footballer and pilot, however a private search was undertaken after £260,000 was raised.

British rescuers on Thursday formally identified the one body pulled from the submerged wreckage as that of the 28-year-old striker.

The light aircraft, which was found in a privately-funded search, remains underwater.
