Jose Mourinho embarrassingly falls at Russian ice hockey league face-off

Renowned soccer manager Jose Mourinho was in Russian Federation on Monday to check out a KHL hockey game between SKA St. Petersburg and Avangard Omsk.

In case you missed it, that was Pavel Datsyuk that contributed to Mourinho's tumble by extending his hand out to one of sport's ultimate villains.

However, upon seeing Datsyuk reaching out for a handshake, Mourinho reached back to oblige, only for the carpet to roll up and the manager to take a rough spill to the ice.

With the weekend to himself, Jose Mourinho took up the offer of being guest of honour at the KHL ice hockey match between Avangard Omsk and SKA St Petersburg in Balashikha, Russia on Sunday.

Sarri: If Hazard wants to leave, then he should
There were echoes in Sarri's comment of something Jose Mourinho said a few days after he was sacked by Chelsea in December 2015.

Manchester United have not suffered similar embarrassment since his departure with successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unbeaten in his opening 10 games.

Mourinho was given the sack by Manchester United last December following the team's dismal start to the season and multiple reports of issues between the manager and players, including star midfielder Paul Pogba. He went on an eight games winning run before drawing at Burnley.

Part of that work involved taking part in a ceremonial puck drop between in a KHL game Avangard and SKA Saint Petersburg - something that did not go as planned for Mourinho.
