Here are all the winners of the 61st Grammy Awards

This was the first time Keys, who has won 15 GRAMMY Awards since first taking home the best new artist award in 2002, has hosted the show, and she began gearing up for the task weeks ago.

She then spoke about the power of music: "From the Motown records I wore out on the South Side to the 'Who Run the World?' song that fueled me through this last decade, music has always helped me tell my story". Music is what we cry to, it's what we march to, it's what we rock to, it's what we make love to.

"There's a sense of community that I want to bring to the stage", Alicia Keys told Billboard ahead of her hosting duties.

"They said I was weird, that my look, my choices, my sound, that it wouldn't work", Lady Gaga said. "I would love to ensure the peace and the good energy in the room so that our shoulders can all drop and we can feel the true blessing of having music as a universal language".

Lopez added that music gave her "a reason to dance" and brought her the success she has today. It reminds me where I come from, but it also reminds me of all the places I can go. "Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves share ourselves: Our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys". "Music has always been the one place we can all feel truly free".

Barnes chose to play despite knowing about potential trade
LeBron James called out what he sees as a double standard in a lengthy Instagram post Wednesday night. The small forward has an 8 percent trade bonus in his contract valued at $686,443 (as of Thursday).

Pinkett Smith followed by declaring, "We express our pain, power, and progress through music..."

Regrettably and unlike other award shows - Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, among others - the Grammys do not share a run of show before the telecast, nor is there much historic accounting that would allow us to put together a best-guess order of awards.

Pinkett Smith quipped, "Every voice we hear deserves to be heard and respected". "Is that right, ladies?"

Fifteen-time Grammy Award victor Alicia Keys will host the ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as nominees wait to find out who will take home the win for popular awards like record of the year and album of the year.
