Jayme Closs, missing Wisconsin teen, found alive after nearly three months

When she opened it, her neighbor was standing next to a skinny girl with unkempt hair and oversized shoes. Family told the station the Jayme had escaped and asked for help from the first person she found for help.

Closs vanished October 15 after her parents were fatally shot in their home in Barron County, which is about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis and 65 miles from where she was found. Closs was inside the home where her parents were shot but vanished, prompting a statewide search that included the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Jayme Closs was found in Gordon in Wisconsin, around 66 miles north of where she was last seen. She said the family is focused on supporting Jayme.

Jayme's school district held a "Gathering of Hope" for their missing student at a local high school on 22 October, while a funeral for the Closs parents was held on 27 October.

Shortly after she was found, a suspect in the case was taken into custody.

Despite a mysterious inaudible 911 call made from her mother's cell at 12.54am, when police arrived at 12.58am, they revealed there was no sign that Jayme resisted her abductor.
