2019 iPhones: Three new handsets, one with a triple-rear-camera setup

2019 iPhones: Three new handsets, one with a triple-rear-camera setup

It may seem surprising that Apple still plans to launch an LCD panel-toting "budget" smartphone, despite the fact that the company recently cut its revenue outlook for the latest quarter. As for the other two iPhones, it will continue with a dual-camera setup.

The iPhone XS and XS Max have two rear cameras, while the less expensive XR has a single camera, but the latter has numerous same features as its higher-end counterparts. iPhones already take great photos, but Apple appears to be looking for an edge that can help it better compete in key markets like China, where competitors often offer handsets with similar features at lower prices. As we settle into 2019, eyes are once again turning to the Cupertino tech giant to get a feel for where it plans to take the iPhone this fall.

iPhone sales haven't been stellar lately, with people replacing their own batteries instead of upgrading and knocking billions off Apple's profit projections in the process.

As per the report, Apple is also planning to shift its display technology to OLED for the 2019 iPhone family of devices.

Nvidia's CES 2019 press conference reveals RTX 2060 pricing, release date
Seventeen of the new laptop models featuring the GeForce RTX series will be housed in the company's Max-Q design. Nvidia finally announced the RTX 2060 desktop GPUs together with the RTX 2000 mobility chips at CES 2019 .

The current iPhone XS series features two 12MP lenses, with one being a wide-angle lens and the other a telephoto with 2x optical zoom. The iPhone has the distinction of being among the most mobile devices in the market right now and that puts it out of reach to a lot of buyers.

But Apple lags behind its rivals in the number of rear cameras.

We haven't seen a treble-camera phone from Apple yet either, so the upcoming model will be its first. Some retailers are discounting up to $118 (Rs 8,200 approximately) for the 64GB variant of iPhone XR. Industry watchers have said that their higher price tag-the iPhone XS starts at $999 and the iPhone XS Max starts at $1,099-hobbled sales and forced Apple to revise its production downward to address lower-than-expected demand.
