‘Zero’ box office collection: Shah Rukh Khan movie struggles despite festive release

As far as overseas collections are concerned, Zero, which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles, collected $4.75-5 million. After his recent outing Zero turned out to be box office disaster, Shah Rukh Khan is planning to go back to a franchise film to taste the box office success. I enjoyed myself. Everyone played their parts well. Sadly, the flawed writing - especially the second hour - takes the film downhill...

Zero is the sixth Bollywood film to cross Rs 100-crore mark this year. The film is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions, which is bankrolled by Gauri Khan and helmed by the ace director Aanand L Rai.

She praised Himanshu, a National Award victor, for starting many new trends in story telling. But then certain portions of the film, like the dialogues and some performances of the lead actors, have come in for praise and that has helped the film's cause.
