Russian Federation is going to deploy new missile systems in Crimea

Their remarks came a day after representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the Organisation for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE) announced that a fresh ceasefire would start this morning.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it believes all attempts to doubt the legal status of Crimea and Sevastopol as part of Russia are futile.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron have urged Russian Federation to release the Ukrainian sailors who were detained during tensions in the Sea of Azov, the media reported.

But Kiev has accused Moscow of military aggression and says it seized the two gunboats and a tugboat illegally.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told Merkel in a phone call that the sailors were under investigation and were being dealt with in accordance with Russian law, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by the news agency RIA.

Ronaldo speaks out after alleged racist chanting during Inter-Napoli
Match officials in Italy are expected to report racist incidents to public security officials who have the power to stop games. Over 100 Inter fans attacked Napoli fans' vehicles and coaches before kickoff, Milan police chief Marcello Cardona said.

"They too should be able to celebrate the upcoming festivities with their families", they added.

The tightening of pressure on Ukraine has been condemned by several European leaders who have called for a definitive end to the conflict which came about after Russian Federation annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, violating worldwide laws.

Kiev has since constantly urged Moscow to release the captured sailors.

In a joint statement Friday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron also vowed to keep up pressure to implement a 2015 peace deal for eastern Ukraine.

"We call for all ships using the Kerch Strait to be given safe, free, and unhindered passage, and for the immediate and unconditional release of the Ukrainian sailors".
