Kevin Hart Won't Host The 2019 Oscars | News

The comedian chose to step down as host of the 2019 Oscars, a position he was named to just days earlier, after homophobic tweets from eight years ago re-emerged on Thursday.

Hart announced he had agreed to host the 2019 ceremony in an Instagram post on Tuesday, calling it the "opportunity of a lifetime".

In an earlier Instagram post today, Hart addressed the controversy and said, "I'm nearly 40 years old and I'm in love with the man that I am becoming".

"I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's (sic)", Hart wrote on Twitter. "I am evolving and want to continue to do so".

Hart said that he passed on that apology because he has "addressed this several times".

This is a breaking story and will be updated. "I'm in a completely different space in my life".

At midnight, Hart posted on Twitter that he had stepped down as host. Some of them were seen as racist, such as when she wrote, "Coworker at forever21 dates black guys and she said she will set me up on a blind date for valentines, I said yes but I'm scared".

Contrasting Chinese, US statements on trade war agreement
Skepticism mounted Tuesday about President Trump's impromptu trade agreement with the president of China, as Mr. And that person is President Trump . "A solution for North Korea is a great thing for China and ALL!"

Kevin Hart is out as Oscars host.

In another of the tweets in question, Hart jokes that someone's Twitter profile pic looks "like a gay billboard for AIDS". Now with that being said, I don't know if I handled my son's first gay moment correctly.

After tweeting earlier Thursday that people should "stop looking for reasons to be negative", he also added an apology in his Thursday night tweet.

The tweet was deleted Wednesday or Thursday. "I'm in a great place, a great mature place where all I do is spread positivity", he said. When talking about gay people as though they were an animal species we reluctantly had to coexist with appeared perfectly acceptable in the 1980's, Eddie Murphy dedicated a suspiciously large section of his act to it. I'm not gonna do it, man. I'm going to be me.

Hosting the Oscars is one of the most prestigious and hard jobs in show business, navigating the expectations of the A-list audience in the theater and millions of people watching on television, with a combination of topical and insider jokes.

So far, The Academy has not yet responded to Kevin Hart's ultimate decision to step down. Rather was set to produce the 84th Academy Awards, but when asked what his plans for the show were, he commented that, 'Rehearsal is for f*gs.' This came during a public Q&A while he was out promoting his latest movie Tower Heist.
