Baker Mayfield fined for gesture during win over Bengals

The Steelers fought through an uninspired 16-13 win over the Bengals and needed the Browns to beat the Ravens in order to win the AFC North title.

The Browns are still in the game with a 48-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield to Jarvis Landry early in the third quarter. For the former result to happen, they'll likely need the services of star wide receiver Antonio Brown, who is recovering from a knee injury.

Brown was listed as questionable for the season finale after missing practice on Friday to undergo tests on the knee. He passed for 179 yards, and rushed for 90 more, with two touchdowns.

The Browns selected Mayfield out of Oklahoma with the first pick of the 2018 National Football League draft.

The justice ministry announced Monday that deliberations were continuing and were "not dependent on political events". An electoral victory would send a message that "you can not overturn the results of a democratic election", he said.

The Steelers are now 8-6-1 on the season and can only qualify for the playoffs if they win the AFC North title - a feat that can only be achieved with the aforementioned win over Cincinnati and Ravens loss to the Browns.

The NFL handed Mayfield a fine of $10,026 for unsportsmanlike conduct, the result of an apparent lewd gesture he made toward Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens in Sunday's 26-18 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The game will be on CBS.
