PSG's Neymar becomes highest-scoring Brazilian in Champions League history

Liverpool will look to book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in Paris this evening.

Jurgen Klopp slammed Neymar before storming out of an interview after Liverpool's Champions League defeat to PSG.

Debate rumbles on over which side boasts the best attack, but Buffon - who has spent the past four months at the Parc des Princes - concedes that Liverpool just about edge it, making them one of the favourites to win the competition.

PSG coach Thomas Tuchel had seen enough and made a double change, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Dani Alves replacing Cavani and Di Maria, with Liverpool bringing on Naby Keita for Wijnaldum soon afterwards. "That was necessary against Liverpool and it was a big step forward for us".

But Klopp was having none of it and immediately began to walk out of the interview, saying: "I said what I had to say". "I look like a bad loser, but I don't care". Liverpool face Napoli, PSG travel to Red Star.

The Premier League's other side in action Wednesday, Tottenham, kept its hopes of progress alive as Christian Eriksen's goal gave it a 1-0 win over Inter Milan.

If they score the Reds would need to do so three times to qualify ahead of the Italians with a superior head-to-head record.

Mack Brown accepts North Carolina Tar Heels job

Only a goal down with 10 minutes to go, Liverpool chose to go all guns blazing to try and salvage at least a draw. "I'm still a bit emotional about it but it will not stay like this and we will make the proper analysis and prepare for the derby [on Sunday against Everton] and a few more games, and then the 11th of December we have a proper final at Anfield".

"We are a normal football team but they go down in each situation, it's unbelievable".

MF Marquinhos, 8 - Played in an un-favoured defensive midfield role that saw him drop even further back into defence at times, he was fantastically disciplined and showed great commitment at key moments to help keep Liverpool at bay. It certainly promises to be a must watch game, and I'll be here with all the latest build-up, Team News and Live Match Commentary.

"We are very satisfied and now we are going to finish the work in Belgrade".

Atletico Madrid cruised into the next round with a simple 2-0 win over a Monaco team packed with youngsters and short on experience.

A rapid counter-attack. Liverpool had been treated to a dose of their own medicine.
