Paul Pierce says he thinks Duke could beat the Cavaliers

Army vs Duke: Army was able to keep the game competitive against Duke for much of the first half, but at the end of the day the Blue Devils' talent was just too much to handle as Duke won 94-72.

The Duke trio of Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cameron Reddish that led a statement win over Kentucky to open the season on Tuesday again shined bright. Zion led the way for the Blue Devils both on offense and defense. Likely in part due to that disappointing effort from Bolden, junior forward Jack White played 25 minutes, scoring six points and providing energy as the first man off the bench.

Those comments from Jones came a few days after Duke's head-turning 118-84 thrashing of second-ranked Kentucky on Tuesday night in Indianapolis.

(18) MISSISSIPPI ST 77, HARTFORD 59: Quinndary Weatherspoon scored a season-high 22 points for host Mississippi State (2-0) in a win over the Hawks (0-3).

Tulane was buoyed by the debut of freshman Kevin Zhang, who had 24 points, including 10 during a second-half surge that briefly pulled the Green Wave as close as 62-56.

Barrett and Zion Williamson, would beat the Cavaliers in the event such a game could ever be staged (it won't), saying, "Duke could beat Cleveland".

After trailing by 11, Army was within 44-42.

At the time of this posting, the fire has not reached the Kardashian-West's main home but flames are on the property. Kardashian West's sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian , also had to leave their homes.

Duke needed less than 10 minutes of game action to open a 21-point lead.

(2) CT 85, OHIO STATE 53: Katie Lou Samuelson scored 19 points and host UConn opened its quest for a 12th national title with a rout of the Buckeyes (1-2).

In film review and practices since the team returned to Durham early Wednesday morning, Duke's coaches have stressed the importance of preparation and consistency to the young team.

As for Duke, the Blue Devils are as well equipped as any NCAA squad to take down an National Basketball Association franchise. With 9:26 to play, Reddish nailed a 3-pointer that gave Duke a 78-61 lead.

Duke's freshman class is the most hyped in generations, with some wondering whether the Blue Devils will go undefeated or if Williamson is the next LeBron James.

Reddish scored 11 first half points but did so on a less-impressive 4 of 13 shooting from the field.

The Blue Devils appear to be the real deal after one game.
