LeBron cites turnovers as culprit in Lakers' latest loss to Magic

"I think we can just do it more and more, more and more as we get into situations as a team". "That one comes and goes".

Behind some heroics and luck from Lance Stephenson and LeBron James being LeBron James, the Lakers gave the Nuggets their first loss of the regular season.

The Los Angeles Lakers have won seven of their previous nine games.

"Through the course of an 82-game season, there are going to be games that we have to win it defensively", James said.

Tobias Harris had 34 points and 11 rebounds, and Los Angeles beat Portland.

Vucevic, who played at USC, made 15-of-23 shots and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Of course, if the Lakers learn their lessons and manage games better than they did Sunday, those late-game minutes won't be of any outcome because the victory will already be wrapped up.

James scored 24 points for the Lakers, who have seven victories in their last nine games, but both of those defeats came to the Magic.

Ball, a second-year point guard, played a key role in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' 90-83 victory at Staples Center.

Neither team did much to distinguish itself early on the first game back from Thanksgiving. The Lakers lost the first three games within that margin, but have won the past five. Meanwhile, the Lakers got enough offensive firepower from James and Ingram combining for 29 of the 52 points in the second half. That defensive focus was evident early in the Sunday game as the Lakers held Orlando to 19 points in the first quarter.

Ingram's campaign was interrupted by a four-game suspension levied against him for his part in the ugly Rockets-Lakers brawl in the season's opening week.

Kuzma scored in single digits in three of the past four games prior to the contest with the Magic, and he was becoming more and more of an afterthought on the team.

"Every single game is kind of different so I'm just going off of learning experiences, trying to see what each game has to offer where I can attack and each spot".

Their shaky interior defense, the major issue during their sluggish start, has been shored up by the acquisition of veteran center Tyson Chandler to provide back up to starter Javale McGee. When we got stops, we got rebounds and then we got to the free-throw line. But as this week showed, they have a long way to go before they will become a good team.
