Virat Kohli Fastest To Reach 10000 ODI Runs

The Cricket Club of India (CCI), which is hosting the fourth One-Day International (ODI) between India and West Indies, announced that legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar will inaugurate the game.

Some years ago, Sachin Tendulkar, after scoring his 100th worldwide century, said he would love to see an Indian - someone like Kohli or Rohit Sharma - break his records.

In Cricket, India have set a target of 322 runs for the West Indies in the second ODI of the 5-match series at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. At a time when his contemporaries are struggling to even play in all the three formats, Kohli is piling up runs across all the formats.

"If I were you, I would visit the bookstore and pick up the Oxford dictionary", Shastri had said after a Kohli century guided India to victory over South Africa in February.

The president also reiterated his claim that Middle Easterners who could pose a danger to us residents have infiltrated the group. That program has not officially started, but Pierce said it's another sign of the dire options awaiting the caravan migrants.

In the process, Kohli also became the fastest to 1,000 runs in a calendar year, taking just 11 innings to get there.

Kohli and Ambati Rayudu, who made 73, added 139 for the third wicket after the hosts had lost openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan early.

Tendulkar had scored 10,000 runs in ODI cricket on 31st March 2001 in a match against Australia and took a total of 259 innings to achieve this feat.

During the course of the innings, Kohli also went past Tendulkar to become the Indian player with most runs in ODIs against Windies. However, should he continue at his current pace, Kohli - still only 29 - will surely surpass that number before the end of his career.
