Jamal Khashoggi's killing 'extrajudicial execution', says UN

Salah Khashoggi, who holds dual U.S. -Saudi citizenship and had thus far been under a travel ban, departed Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

Later, Saudi officials said he had been accidentally killed during a "fistfight".

Turkey said it believed a hit squad of Saudi nationals had travelled to Istanbul with the sole objective of killing Khashoggi, a former member of the Saudi elite who became critical of the current government's administration in his country.

According to the statement, a joint Saudi-Turkish investigative team "indicates that the suspects in the incident had committed their act with a premeditated intention".

Khashoggi's murder was "premeditated," according to Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor.

Shortly before Prince Mohammed took the stage at the Future Investment Initiative, he spoke to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the killing of Khashoggi.

Callamard also reiterated an earlier call for an independent investigation to "validate" the findings of investigations being carried out by Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post contributor, was killed on October 2 after a visit to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to obtain paperwork before marrying his Turkish fiancee.

However, Trump also said that he wanted to believe that rogue operatives were behind the Khashoggi killing.

The Red Sox were indeed fined past year for using an Apple Watch while trying to steal signs from the New York Yankees. Instead, that session may have keyed his dominant performance. "I'm happy that David showed up today", Cora said.

Trump has also insisted that killing will not interfere with United States arms sales to Saudi Arabia, citing a $110bn deal with Riyadh he announced previous year.

"Even if US President Trump saves [Mohammed bin] Salman, in the eyes of the world, he is a questionable person with Khashoggi's blood on his hands", Cevik wrote.

The Foreign Ministry did not say what led the Saudi prosecutor to draw that conclusion, only that it was based on information shared by Turkish investigators working with Saudi officials in Turkey.

On Thursday, Prince Mohammed attended the first meeting of a committee aiming to restructure the kingdom's intelligence services after the killing of Khashoggi, the state-run Saudi Press Agency said.

Supporters, friends and relatives of journalist Jamal Khashoggi on Thursday held a candlelight vigil outside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to demand justice for his "barbaric" murder.

The son of murdered Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Salah, and his family have left the Gulf kingdom after the government lifted a travel ban, Human Rights Watch said Thursday.

"What we know is sufficient to suggest very strongly that Mr Khashoggi was the victim of an extrajudicial execution", Agnes Callamard told Al Jazeera.

"But we have enough right now to determine that the government of Saudi Arabia is responsible and is implicated".
