Former first daughter Barbara Bush gets married

Barbara Bush, the former first daughter, married her fiance, Craig Coyne, in Kennebunkport, Maine, on Sunday.

The family made the announcement and released photos of the wedding Monday morning.

Barbara Pierce Bush and Craig Coyne's wedding, October 7, 2018. Although Bush stepped down in January, she will continue to be the board chair. "And at one point we were all praying and Poppy ran and nearly tackled Barbara and gave her a huge hug". "Laura and I are so proud of our compassionate, daring, fierce, kind, intelligent, loving daughter. It was just like her: private (only family!) and full of love (and yes lots of tears!)", she wrote.

The bride - named after her grandmother, former First Lady Barbara Bush, who passed away earlier this year - married screenwriter Craig Coyne.

The move dropped Vettel back to 18th place. "I was obviously pushing to get past but I wasn't desperate to get past", said Vettel. Vettel, beaten by the two Mercedes in Russian Federation a week earlier, tried to put a positive spin on a disastrous Japan race.

Laura Bush called it "a wonderful day". Bush told the magazine that Coyne proposed in Kennebunkport over the summer, in the same spot where George H.W. Bush had proposed to Barbara Bush 75 years prior. It was a "very short, sweet ceremony", Barbara told PEOPLE.

Meanwhile, photographer Morse also shared a photo of the newlywed couple on Instagram shortly after they were pronounced husband and wife. "The wedding was officiated by the bride's aunt, Dorothy Bush Koch".

Barbara Bush wore a custom ivory silk Vera Wang gown. Her twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, was matron of honor, while the roster of flower girls consisted of Hager's daughters, Margaret and Poppy-who was also the ring bearer-and Coyne's niece Emma. The pair met on a blind date in November, and got engaged in August, setting up what People calls "a whirlwind, five-week engagement" in which Coyne moved from California to NY.
