It's a brutal early exit for Chicago, which finished the regular season with the second-most wins (95) in the NL but fell to the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central tie-breaker before Colorado dashed its high postseason hopes.

Scott Oberg, the sixth Colorado pitcher, fanned Kris Bryant for the final out of the 12th and then struck out the side in the 13th to end the longest postseason game at 104-year-old Wrigley.

In the bottom half, Terrance Gore acted as if he was hit by a tight pitch leading off and ran to first before being ordered back to the box. The Rockies lost to Arizona in the NL wild-card game a year ago.

The Rockies managed it in large part thanks to pitcher Kyle Freeland, who hurled six and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball on just three days' rest. We've got to go out there and compete.

The Chicago Cubs won 95 games this season, but they lost two in two - well technically three - days and are officially out of the Major League Baseball postseason.

This one lasted 4 hours, 55 minutes, and had pretty much everything, too.

The actress had been riding in a vehicle in what TMZ has said is Moscow when she spotted a homeless family by the roadside. Having had enough, the family pick up their belongings and begin to move away from her. "I won't leave until I take you".

With the Red Sox, Lester allowed three runs in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series in a loss to the Rays in 2008.

Freeland, a 17-game victor for the Rockies this year, got the best of it for 6 2/3 scoreless innings.

Should the game be extended, Cole Hamels, Kyle Hendricks and Mike Montgomery also are available Tuesday night behind scheduled starter Jon Lester.

Rizzo's spot came up twice more in the game with Gore striking out both times, including leading off a 1-2-3 13.

Charlie Blackmon led off with a five-pitch walk. The free-swinging slugger drove it into the gap in left-center for a tying double, easily scoring Gore from second and sending a charge through the crowd.
