2 girls arrested for plot to kill classmates

The administrators found them in a toilet cubicle and brought them back to their offices where they found the girls in possession of four knives, a pizza cutter and a knife sharpener, police said.

Police released photos of the weapons recovered from the girls, including a pizza cutter, a meat cleaver and a goblet, which is presumed they intented to use to drink their victims' blood from.

When asked about motivation, the girls reportedly told police that they were Satan worshipers.

Police said the plot was only foiled after the mother of one of the girls called in when a robo-call said she skipped school.

A hand-drawn map of the school was allegedly discovered with the words, "Go to kill in bathroom", written on top of it.

After being taken into police custody, the girls told detectives that they had wanted to kill at least 15 people and were in the bathroom waiting for an opportunity. In one message, one of the girls said, "We will leave body parts at the entrance and then we will kill ourselves", police say.

The girls face a number of charges, including conspiracy to commit murder.

Broncos QB Chad Kelly arrested on trespassing charge
Kelly had a terrific preseason for the team, finally showing what he could do on the field after sitting out all of last season. Denver Broncos quarterback Chad Kelly (85) speaks to the media following rookie minicamp drills at the UCHealth Training Center.

"When kids feel disenfranchised or they don't feel like they fit in or maybe they're in a rejected peer group because they're not doing so well with other kids, sometimes, they look to extremes to try to find a place to be included", Dr. Rice told FOX 13 News.

"This is horrific, and if I had children in school, I'd be scared to death", Hall said.

Police say the girls were located in the very bathroom they had discussed. They planned to cut the children's throats, slice up their bodies, and eat their flesh, washing the raw meat down with the victims' blood.

Police say they believe the students' parents, who have not spoken publicly about the allegations, were unaware of their plan.

The school's assistant principal found the girls in the bathroom before they could carry out the alleged attack.

"If you were an adult, you'd be looking at potential life in prison", Mr Hall said.

"Today is sad - we have students who were plotting to kill other students", said Polk Schools Superintendent Jacqueline Byrd, who joined Hall at the news conference. "The plan did work".
