First look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker

First look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker

The Instagram share comes from Todd Phillips, the director of Warner Bros. upcoming Joker movie.

Phoenix characterized the standalone Joker as not belonging to any specific genre, saying the film doesn't fit into the scope of a superhero movie or a studio movie. Though his character Arthur Fleck is not yet donning the Joker's trademark makeup in the footage, the clown element of his arc is already foreshadowed via both the merry-go-round in the background and the red-nosed amusing man who confronts him.

It's hard to keep track of all the Joker movies in the works, but this first look picture should help us differentiate the Joaquin Phoenix led version, slated for October 2019. He boops him. It's cute.

Sergei Sobyanin, mayor of the Russian capital since 2010, won a predictable victory with 70.02 percent of the vote. Photos on social media indicated a lot of them were attended by 100 or more protesters, but the crowd in St.

The Joker also stars Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, and Marc Maron. It is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2019. The set photos that appeared on some publications showed that Phoenix has lost a considerable amount of weight for the role, and that is apparent here.

Joker will re-imagine the world of Batman as an '80s crime film with a dark and gritty tone. However as unnecessary as the idea sounds, playing the role of the Joker does tend to bring out the best from its actors (though I'm not sure what to call Jared Leto's performance in Suicide Squad).

The now untitled movie is described as "an exploration of a man disregarded by society that is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale". So, it will be interesting to see how comic book fans react to what Todd Phillips and Phoenix are creating together.
