Elon Musk smokes weed in California-based podcast appearance

Musk smoked marijuana with comedian Joe Rogan at the end of a two-and-half-hour interview on the "The Joe Rogan Experience", which featured a wide-ranging discussion on topics including artificial intelligence, the Tesla chief executive's technological ambitions and personal hardship.

They covered a wide range of subjects while in the interview, including Tesla, Twitter, SpaceX and love.

Musk admitted on "The Joe Rogan Experience" that running a company like Tesla is intense and tricky, saying, "It's very hard to keep a vehicle company alive".

Aside from the weed, Musk also touted a couple weapons on the show's set, including a flamethrower and a Katana that Rogan claims is hundreds of years old. The joint was provided to Musk by Rogan, who said it was legal.

However, during an interview for The New York Times, Mr. Musk criticized the use of the drug while denying it had anything to do with attempting to take Tesla private. He was honest, possibly drunk and stoned: "I think people should be nicer to each other ..."

One of Wall Street's prominent short sellers, Andrew Left, has filed a class-action lawsuit, accusing electric auto maker Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk of trying to "burn" investors with "objectively false tweets". After considering it for about 3-4 seconds, Elon Musk says "I mean it's legal, right?" and takes it for a little puff himself.

Sheriff's Homicide Lt Joe Mendoza said police realised Ms Marquez's gun was just a replica when it was seized from her house. Marquez played nurse Wendy Goldman on NBC medical drama ER, which also starred George Clooney for three years from 1994.

He told Rogan he thinks that merging humans with computers is the approach that "seems probably the best for us: if you can't beat it, join it". "Every now and again I get drawn in and it's not good, you can make some mistakes". "It is sort of like a cup of coffee in reverse".

Tesla is under extreme pressure to turn a sustained net profit starting this quarter, as promised by Musk.

According to the lawsuit, filed on Thursday in San Francisco federal court, false and misleading information, issued by Musk, harmed short-sellers and those believing Tesla's stock price would rise. They both giggled and Musk said, "That would be great".

"As a result, this caused me to reconsider my future".

Many of Musk's Twitter followers questioned if smoking marijuana was against the company's policy, while others mocked the CEO's initial $420 bid, a number that has become code for marijuana.

"How are you going to fix that?"
