Carolina Panthers: Top players to watch against Buffalo Bills

After getting drafted by Carolina in the first round in 2014, Benjamin was sent to Buffalo for two draft picks ahead of the 2017 trade deadline. The Buffalo Bills wideout claimed the Panthers were "bad" for him and that he wished he'd started his career with a more "accurate" quarterback. I don't know, man ...

Newton attempted to shake Benjamin's hand, but the Bills wide receiver kept his hands at his side.

"I just think Carolina was bad for me", Benjamin told The Athletic. Nothing to see here, just a few position battles.

During individual warmups about an hour and a half before the game, a photographer from The Charlotte Observer captured Newton approaching Benjamin as he spoke with former teammate and current Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis.

"I just have to work on my driver a little bit because it has been quite decent for most of the year, but this week it wasn't". Yeah, I just got off to a really good start, played a great front nine and birdied 10 to get 7 under through 10.

After Benjamin's comments were published, McDermott expressed disapproval, saying Sunday (via ESPN), "There's a time and a place - I'm not saying specific to what comments were made - there's a time and place for things like that".

"I ain't gonna go back and forth with him, I'm just gonna work", Newton said.

First the video. Then the responses, which weren't very kind to the Buffalo star, in general, although Benjamin scored a first quarter touchdown and jumped into the stands to celebrate. "I should've never went to Carolina".
