Toronto Raptors "In The Driver's Seat" For Kawhi Leonard

In fact, online sportsbook MyBookie now lists the Toronto Raptors as even money to land the All-Star forward, which is better odds than the Spurs at +400.

Leonard has reportedly wanted out of San Antonio after an injury-plagued season, with his prefered destination being Los Angeles.

"Be told one thing & the outcome another", DeRozan wrote on his Instagram story.

"It's way more likely now than it was a couple of weeks ago". And with the Nets, Bulls and Hawks spending their cap space, it makes it harder to assemble a multi-team trade.

It adds that the Clippers, Nuggets, Suns, Trail Blazers, Raptors and Wizards have spoken with the Spurs, but few offers have included major trade packages because of uncertainty about Leonard's health and whether he would simply leave his new team in free agency next summer.

One was a weak volley in the 61st minute from Kevin De Bruyne , who got poor contact and bounced the ball harmlessly to Lloris . After all, they have won their five World Cup matches, and their road has been significantly tougher than France's one.

Talks between the Spurs and Raptors have intensified in recent days, league sources said.

"The potential deal would bring Leonard, one of the NBA's top players when healthy, to Toronto and send an All-NBA and All-Star calibre player in DeRozan to the Spurs".

ESPN says an agreement in principle could be reached as soon as Wednesday.

At this time it is unclear if other players are involved in the trade. The Raptors were the top seed in the Eastern Conference last season but were swept out of the National Basketball Association playoffs by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, leading to the dismissal of Coach of the Year victor Dwane Casey.

But it looks like it's Toronto who has presented the best deal to San Antonio with a proven star in DeRozan being thrown into the mix. He's under contract for two more seasons and owed $41.4 million, but has a player option for 2019-20. Leonard's camp has been making it clear that he would like to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers next summer. The face of the franchise and culture, DeRozan remained loyal to the team in 2016 when he signed a five-year, $139 million contract extension.
