Maurizio Sarri, Gianfranco Zola agree deals with Chelsea?

Reports suggest Chelsea will draft in Maurizio Sarri to fill the managerial void.

But following months of speculation regarding his future, the nature of Conte's exit tells you all you need to know about Chelsea's feelings towards him.

"During Antonio's time at the club, we won our sixth league title and eighth FA Cup".

The 48-year-old had two seasons in charge of Chelsea FC and had one year remaining on his contract.

With confirmation coming through on Friday morning that Antonio Conte had been relieved of his duties as head coach, leaving the way clear for former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri to take the reins at Stamford Bridge.

Donald Trump could meet Boris Johnson, says U.S. ambassador
May replied that wouldn't be possible because of the requirements of membership, including free movement of people across borders. A Downing Street spokesman confirmed that if pushed to a confidence vote, May would not resign.

Conte regularly questioned the club's ambition and dealings in the transfer window and departs after failing to guide the Blues into next season's Champions League. They eventually stuttered to a fifth-placed finish in the league, which has led to Conte's departure even though he did clinch the FA Cup title.

Conte began his career at Lecce, playing as a midfielder. The Italian worldwide was thought at one stage to be heading to Manchester City, but Sarri and Chelsea have managed to convince him to forego a season of Champions League football and move to West London instead.

After his appointment in the summer of 2016, the Italian enjoyed a hugely successful first season in England, instilling belief in a damaged Chelsea side and leading them to the Premier League title.

"He has plenty of experience in Serie A and the Champions League and we know he is relishing the chance to work in the Premier League".

Sarri will become the 12th manager to take over the reins at Chelsea since Roman Abramovich bought the London club in 2003.
