Cristiano Ronaldo Is Leaving Real Madrid for Juventus

Real Madrid are preparing to say farewell to their most-prized Galactico as Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be on the verge of an £88m move to Juventus, and Florentino Perez has wasted no time in identifying the man he wants to replace CR7.

"I believe that the time has come to begin a new stage in my life and that is why I have asked the club to accept my transfer request". I'm leaving, but this shirt, this crest, and the Santiago Bernabeu will continue to feels these things wherever I am.

Old team-mates wished him well.

"Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has marked one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football". The 33-year-old Portuguese signed a four-year deal with the Turin-based club.

"They have been nine unique years", added Ronaldo.

While many assumed that Paul George was going to be coming to Los Angeles , he ended up staying with the Oklahoma City Thunder. As proven last season in Cleveland, even at 33 years old, he has the ability to elevate a subpar club to the NBA Finals.

Juventus revealed in a club statement that they would pay 100 million euros ($A158 million) to Madrid over two financial years and "additional costs" of 12 million euros ($A19 million).

The report claims that following Argentina's World Cup exit, Dybala travelled to Cordoba but was not informed by Juventus about their plan to sign Ronaldo.

The deal has also seen a spike in social media activity. And this last fact is what may have made him head for the shores of Italy. Fans of the lovely game knew that they'd reap the benefits of watching Messi and Ronaldo, the two best players in the world, duking it out in La Liga each season-and that's exactly what happened.

For the moment, it is unclear just who will replace Ronaldo in the squad this summer, but everything points to Chelsea and Belgium star Eden Hazard, who has always been a target for the club.

Zidane's presence was thought to be a major draw for Hazard, but the Frenchman stepped down from his role just days after guiding the club to a third successive Champions League trophy last season. Both players pushing each other to become better than they otherwise could have been.
