Suspect Dedrick Williams arrested and charged with XXXTentacion's murder

A suspect has been arrested in connection to XXXTentacion's death.

Dedrick Devonshay Williams of Pompano Beach was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday after a traffic stop, the Broward Sheriff's Office said a statement Thursday.

On Monday, investigators said they were searching for two suspects, at least one of whom shot at Onfroy during an "apparent robbery", before fleeing in a dark-colored SUV.

XXXTentacion was shot dead on Monday after leaving a motorcycle dealership.

The alleged shooter was additionally charged with a probation violation for an earlier grand theft auto charge and is being held without bail.

According to the Associated Press, Williams, 22, remains in Broward County jail, held without bail.

XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle, according to police.

Williams' rap sheet has been uncovered, however, as TMZ adds that he now has 11 felonies and was previously arrested for drug and weapons possession, domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm and grand theft auto. He did not face jail time for any of these charges, some of which were dropped.
