President Trump escalates fight with ABC after 'Roseanne' cancellation

Tom Werner, executive producer of the original "Roseanne" and its update, agreed with ABC's cancellation.

Barr has continued to tweet since her show's cancellation, apologizing for her racist remark, defending some of her co-stars, including John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf, and condemning other actors on the show. The network made the decision to pull the plug on Roseanne on Tuesday after Barr tweeted a racist "joke" about former President Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett. "I blame myself, not Ambien", she tweeted. Sanofi US refuted the comedienne's claim that Ambien caused her to write racist messages. "While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication".

Trump tweeted that the CEO of ABC's parent company called Valerie Jarrett to say the network wouldn't tolerate Barr's tweet about her. Trump wrote that CEO Bob Iger never call him to apologize for "the terrible statements" that have been said about him on ABC".

Roseanne Barr is seeking an opportunity to personally call those she's insulted on Twitter.

Oh, and if you were wondering whether those lovable pranksters at Dictionary.com got involved... of course they did.

Barr apologized but then followed it up by repeating another conspiracy theory - that Soros and his father worked with Nazis during World War II (a rumor that has been debunked and that Soros denounced again yesterday). "I will be on Joe Rogan's podcast friday". But much of its progress would have been threatened if it looked the other way at Barr's tweet. Clinton herself corrected Barr online.

Three weeks earlier, "Roseanne" was the toast of ABC's annual presentation of its programming plans to advertisers.

"You throw me under the bus. nice!" she said in a tweet directed at Fishman. The streaming site has removed every episode of the Roseanne revival.

"I got to believe that none of us like or appreciate what Roseanne Barr did, it's a terrible mistake, and I think, you know, people view it, this whole thing about gorillas, it is a trope, it's a racist trope, and I've seen people taken down by this in the past", Caputo said. "Unfortunate missed opportunity", one user wrote. "Hashtag NOT Winning. The runway is now clear for OUR reboot".
