GOP House rep: Trump 'still 100 percent' behind immigration bill

US President Donald Trump has said that undocumented people entering the United States should be immediately deported without any judicial process, reiterating his tough stance on immigration.

"We can not allow all of these people to invade our Country", Trump said on Twitter.

According to Lieu, there was little Trump's ancestors had to offer when they came over on the boat - and he reminded Trump on Twitter.

Even if we get 100% Republican votes in the Senate, we need 10 Democrat votes to get a much needed Immigration Bill - & the Dems are Obstructionists who won't give votes for political reasons & because they don't care about Crime coming from Border! On Sunday, he said U.S. immigration policy was "laughed at all over the world".

Representative Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat from IL, said today that the president's choice of words was being used to gin up his supporters for the mid-terms. In late May, the Texas Civil Rights Project and other groups filed an emergency request with the Inter-American Commission on behalf of parents systematically separated from their children at the United States-Mexico border. "Immigration must be based on merit".

Trump's continued statements on immigration and border security, including his call on Sunday for the USA to forgo the use of judges, come as Congress attempts to grapple with the issue.

On Friday (June 22), Trump said Republicans would do better to "stop wasting their time on immigration" until after the midterm elections, pushing the issue until after he anticipated they would defeat Democrats in November.

The statement comes three days after Trump ended his policy that led to family separations, allowing families to be held together in detention centers, after an outpouring of protests.

It was hardly the first time the president has spoken in racially fraught terms about immigrants, but it underscored his anger about unchecked immigration - the animating issue of his campaign and his tenure so far - and his frustration that he has not been able to do more to seal the nation's borders. He has a lot of catching up to do with members of the Twitter #Resistance spreading the #BlueWave and #BlueWave2018 hashtags as they have been doing ever since Trump was elected.

"Here, I think he is making it clear, he just doesn't want anybody here". Intense criticism of the policy caused Trump to sign an executive order last week to end the separation of families.

"I think what we need is to create policies which deal with immigration in a rational way", Sanders said. The Trump administration had cited the agreement, known as the Flores settlement, when it originally began splitting apart children and their parents.
