Beyonce and Jay-Z release surprise joint album 'Everything is Love'

Beyonce and Jay-Z release surprise joint album 'Everything is Love'

The record is a collaboration with rapper JAY-Z, who most famously appeared on Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love" and who has been spotted fathering her three kids.

The UK leg of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's "On The Run II" tour will conclude at London Stadium tonight, before hitting venues in other European cities, and making its way to North America next month.

The release came amid the power couple's "On The Run II" tour, which is now in Europe.

Along with the album, titled Everything is Love and credited to The Carters, the pair also released the music video for first single "APES**T".

Along with the album, the king and queen of hip-hop unleashed the video for the second track on the album called 'Apeshit.' Directed by Ricky Saiz the video was shot in Louvre museum in Paris in May. Now surprise releases have become something of a Carter family tradition, and Everything Is Love seemed to be no exception. JAY-Z revealed that both he and his wife had been working on new music together for a while but took a break so that she could focus on Lemonade instead. Jay-Z told the New York Times in November that he and Beyoncé had been "using [their] art nearly like a therapy session". Beyoncé and Jay-Z have no issue paying a million or two to get that VIP treatment.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been married for over ten years, and have three children - Blue Ivy, Sir and Rumi.

"Because we love you all so much we have something special for you". On her very first lyrics, Beyonce beckons to her husband, "Let's make love in the summertime".

The accompanying artwork for the album could be seen on the Tidal website and in a Tweet announcing the album's release on Beyonce's official Twitter page.

"We were using our art nearly like a therapy session", he revealed.

Jay-Z vents frustration several times on the album about legal action against him.

If her plans pay off, we might he waiting a little while longer for the new tunes.
