Rage 2's Gameplay Trailer Delivers A Carnival of Carnage, 2019 Release Date

Following yesterday's confirmation announcement, Bethesda made good on its promise to show off RAGE 2 gameplay.and it looks pretty great. Punk aesthetic and all. The dystopian setting seems to take inspiration from the film franchise Mad Max, which makes even more sense when you realize Rage 2 is being developed in association with Avalanche Studios - the same developer behind the Mad Max game.

The official Rage 2 website also reveals that Just Cause 3 and Mad Max developer Avalanche Studios is working on the game.

Players will take up the mantle of Walker, the last remaining Vineland Ranger in the world. Because of that, it's imperative to gear up and learn the ropes of who is who in the game of RAGE 2. Vehicles too are a big focus, as is auto combat.

In the Bethesda Blog post that accompanies this gameplay trailer, the company explains that Rage 2 is actually the product of a team up between id Software and Avalanche Studios.

RAGE 2 is now set to launch in Spring 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. In the decades following an asteroid's devastation, most of the earth has become an unforgiving wildland where bloodthirsty factions vie for control of precious resources.
