No go for Joe Hart after Southgate axes keeper from final squad

No go for Joe Hart after Southgate axes keeper from final squad

The former Three Lions number one is understood to have been told by Gareth Southgate on Monday that he will not be part of the 23-man party heading to Russian Federation.

Southgate has been deliberating on whether to take Hart to Russian Federation for his experience but has seemingly decided against it.

The Arsenal midfielder is reportedly set to be absent from Gareth Southgate's squad for the trip to Russian Federation this summer.

Uncapped Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope could get the nod to make the trip alongside Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland.

Goalkeeper Joe Hart and midfielder Jack Wilshere have not been included.

The squad includes two other former Everton players, John Stones and Eric Deir.

But despite a productive campaign, Southgate has snubbed him in his squad.

Rachael DelTondo was supposed to tie the knot in 2017, but only four months later, the wedding was called off. The report said DelTondo "didn't want her fiance to know" she was with the boy, claiming he was a friend.

This isn't a personal attack on Joe Hart - he has always represented himself well and comes across as both articulate and intelligent - but with a World Cup approaching the man between the sticks needs to be assured.

It will be Southgate's first tournament with England and so he's made the bold decision to include Young in the squad that's set to be announced this week.

The England manager also underlined the importance of the West Ham loanee's role in getting his country to the World Cup and just last August called the criticised shot-stopper the country's "best goalkeeper".

"I went to the World Cup in '98, didn't play one minute of football, but it was a great learning curve for me".

"Everyone wants to play in a World Cup - everyone wants to play in every match", Southgate added. I'd already seen what the best methods were.

England will face Tunisia in their Group F opener on June 18 in Kazan, Russia, and have also been grouped with Belgium and Tunisia.
