Metro Exodus Delayed, Now Slated For Q1 2019 Release

Metro Exodus Delayed, Now Slated For Q1 2019 Release

It was also announced that the game would release at some point in 2018.

THQ Nordic said the two games are "still under evaluation for setting a release date".

But fear not, it's not all quiet on the eastern front: Deep Silver will still be showing off Metro Exodus at this year's E3, including new gameplay and new environments.

Metro Exodus, the third game in the survival/horror/stealth/shooter series and the first to feature a more expansive open world, has been delayed.

I suppose for now we just have to wait for E3 for more info on what could have possibly caused the delay or just how big they're planning on making Metro: Exodus.

Facebook suspends around 200 suspicious apps of "thousands investigated"

Based on a series of novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, the Metro games are a grim series of shooters with stealth and survival elements, largely set in Russia's underground rail system after a nuclear apocalypse.

The story of the game will follow the events of Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033.

It must be noted that last month, THQ Nordic announced that it would be skipping the E3 this year to focus on the World Cup, which starts on June 14 in Russian Federation. Revenue for the quarter came in at $72 million, while earnings were $12.2 million, a jump of 236% compared to the same period a year ago. Though no specific reason was given, THQ announced that Exodus would now launch sometime in Q1 2019.

Elsewhere in the report, the publisher confirmed that Deep Silver will be publishing Wasteland 3, and The Bard's Tale 4, both in development at inXile Entertainment.
